I'll bet you dollars to donuts the reason the " western " crops are so " picky " is that they've been hybridized for our growing conditions and marketing techniques...and patentability (is that a word?). I recently contacted this Oklahoma-panhandle-based source for information about heirloom grains: CORNS Route 1 Box 32 Turpin, OK 73950 580-778-3615 Open-pollinated corn.LSASE for info/Catalog $1.00 What all do you raise?
