Guest guest
Thanks for your response Pete,Its good to be back ,I'm interested in the A/G protocol! where do I find it and how do I start experimenting with it??!! Thanks again and have a good day Hi ,Glad to have you back. I'll look forward to seeing the assessment.Meditation states are primarily (in my experience) related to synchronous alpha (and perhaps gamma as well). I'm not aware that there is a difference in brain states based on whether one is simply watching (mindfulness) or watching something (one-pointed) . I'm uploading (along with some revised files mentioned earlier on the site) an alpha gamma synchrony 2-channel design that I really like. They'll be on learningcurvedesign s later today.Pete On Fri, Sep 5, 2008 at 9:51 PM, Rivas <azulindikoyahoo (DOT) com> wrote: This is Rivas, I was away for some time but Im back.Hope all is well, I will be sending you my assessment sometime next week , I just got my fifth sensor so I can do the assessment without the ear clips. I would also like to start experimenting with a couple of friends with meditation states. What do you recommend to start? I also post a message before asking the difference in training mindful meditation with training focus or one pointed meditation, would you help me with that?? Guest guest
Pete and , rocatti has shown me bioreview reports of meditation sessions using 4 channel alpha sync training. Synchrony rises through the session but was was most unexpected was other values that changed. Both spectral entropy ( a measure of spectral 'complexity' in the eeg) as well as well as mutual information ( a measure of complexity across sites) increased. What would be seen on a spectrogram would be a lowering of amplitude across the spectrum, a very flat spectrum. When this happens the ratio of gamma to the slow activity and the ratio of gamma to beta increases. georgemartin@...www.northstarneurofeedback.com Thanks for your response Pete,Its good to be back ,I'm interested in the A/G protocol! where do I find it and how do I start experimenting with it??!! Guest guest
I've just uploaded a zip file with 6 designs for BioExplorer (part of the TLC Design Subscription/QuickStart package). They inlude a 2C Squish, which will work with the BX Adaptor program and Tetris (or other arcade games available on the internet), a slight update to the Alpha Beta Symmetry with slow inhibit, a revised Alpha% up design, and the Alpha Gamma Synchrony design with the special sound field as well as an Alpha Synchrony with slow and fast inhibits. Also included is a revised 1C SMR up (with accurate design notes and other changes). As always, I've tested these somewhat before uploading them, but I always appreciate hearing the responses you have (or get) when using them. Especially with the Alpha Gamma Synchrony design, be aware that it is probably a good idea not to use this with anxious people. Use the Alpha Synchrony with high and low inhibits instead. I believe all of these have the Design Notes as well.
