Guest guest
Irene, this is VERY helpful, what you said. i guess i should just cold turkey it. :-) how long should i give it? should i see how i feel after a month? 2 months? 6 months? to see if i have lost any weight? thanks so much. laura p.s. Irene do you mind if i ask...did you go off starches for weight? allergies? chrohn's or that inflammatory bowel disorder? thanks. if for weight...how much did you lose over how long a time? I'm not impatient. i don't care if it takes YEARS to get to the weight i should be at (whatever that is). i just want to stop gaining!!! and then lose. Go cold turkey and in a few days the cravings will cease. I do use fruit but in a limited amount. I usually try to eat it with some protein. In the beginning I used only berries and a few nuts when I needed a snack. Now since my body has had some time to heal I can tolerate more fruits. Guest guest
I'll do my best with the answers to your questions. Irene how long should i give it? should i see how i feel after a month? 2months? 6 months? to see if i have lost any weight? I think I was noticing an improvement in energy, sleep, etc. within 1 month --- I changed my eating entirely for health --- did not concentrate on weight loss. I did the no grains (absolutely no grains of any kind), no sugars or sweeteners. I was strict with this for the 1st six months -- now I might have a dessert if I go out to eat -- but be aware, the cravings will come back. So it might not work if you have problems giving into your cravings. Go cold turkey and actually you'll stop cravings the grains and sugars within a week.Irene do you mind if i ask...did you go off starches for weight? allergies? chrohn's or that inflammatory bowel disorder? thanks. I did have some bowel problems - would only go maybe once a week. I had really low energy and did not sleep well, high BP, high cholesterol, allergies - which I don't have a problem with now --- no more allergies meds.if for weight...how much did you lose over how long a time? I lost 35 lbs in about six months. _______________________________________________ No banners. No pop-ups. No kidding.
