Guest guest
Hi I have thought about this recently sicne I read the articel and some other emails. I am personally agianst this While the structure of funding in the health care system is terribly broken, and while I understand why docotrs do not want to e xtend credit interest free, I think that; - we do not get the interest any way if put on a card we do get paid right away minus the charges -it is really poor goodwill to do this I personally would turn and run not walk if asked to do this at a docotr's office. Commn sense folow up and good offic e policies are better. We rely on patietns for good will and my experience with some local orthodontists who refuse a payment plan but insist on a credit card is that there is no good will. I know certainly of course that when I provide a service i should get paid for it like the plumber- although he will havepeople stiff him also or like the grocers who also get bad checks but insisting on a credit card just doesnot work for me. Iwill stick to taking copays up front for those I do not know, my bad check policy , my decline to see you unless it si an emregency if you owe policies.
