Hey Y'all been a while I hope all's been well on the NT Group!!!

As for probiotics the 3 very best brands I've recommended for

clients and used personally are Custom Probiotics, Metagenics and

Kirkman.

If you need help locating them let me know.

Kefir works the best for me (tho I haven't tried Primal defense).

Avoiding grains (esp. gluten) might help with the food aversions and

nausea ... in my case the nausea didn't go away when I had the

baby, until I gave up gluten!

A NT-based nutritionist recommended " Essential Formulas Dr. Ohhira's

Probiotics 12 Plus " to me. She said they were the only good

probiotic supplement she'd found. They were developed by a Japanese

scientist and they are fermented up to 5 years. They are also very

expensive. The cheapest price by far that I've found is at

www.choosetobehealthy.com

I use them now and they seem more effective than anything else I've

tried. I'd prefer to use food sources, but I can't do dairy and

don't know that I get enough probiotics otherwise. Also, I have a

candida problem and want to take large amounts for that.

The nutritionist warned me that these are potent and it's important

to start with only 1 pill and work up slowly. I had slowly worked up

to 6 per day (they recommend 6-12 per day for candida for 2 months),

but then got impatient to increase and went up to 10 per day too

quickly. This caused diarrhea for 4 days!! (It's the end of day 4

and I think maybe it's finally stopped.) So, the warning to increase

slowly is not to be taken lightly.

Maintenance dose is just 2-4 pills per day. (But they ARE expensive.)

I know nothing about their safety during pregnancy. I am impressed

with them as a probiotic. Every other probiotic I tried I didn't

feel made any difference.
