The myth that Joan is referring to is that all feminists look down on

SAHMs--that there's some kind of war going on. You mention below that you

get this flack from " a lot of different people " --not *only* feminists, I

infer. To blame the women's lib movement or feminists in general for this

pissy attitude towards SAHMs is unfair--as another poster mentioned, the

feminist movement is constantly changing and can't be broken down into

" career woman " v. " homemaker. "
