125/day.

I'm sorry I jumped into this late... but are we disscussing daily

protein intake? 125 g/day should definitely not, in my opinion, be a

maximum for anyone. I would either a) starve to death or B) eat an

almost entirely carbohydrate-based diet if I ate that little

protein. It would be difficult for me to even eat a high-fat diet

with nothing to put the fat on, hence the wording of " B) " .

I personally would shoot for .75 g/ pound body weight and a minimum

of 75 g a day for a relatively sedentary person. For someone whose

muscles are under stress, they need more. For someone who is

intentionally trying to increase muscle mass, they need a lot more.

(At least 1 g/pound bodyweight, maybe twice that).

One pound of meat can often exceed 125 g (probably 160g or so), which

I could eat in one sitting.
