I'm sorry I jumped into this late... but are we disscussing daily protein intake? 125 g/day should definitely not, in my opinion, be a maximum for anyone. I would either a) starve to death or eat an almost entirely carbohydrate-based diet if I ate that little protein. It would be difficult for me to even eat a high-fat diet with nothing to put the fat on, hence the wording of " " . I personally would shoot for .75 g/ pound body weight and a minimum of 75 g a day for a relatively sedentary person. For someone whose muscles are under stress, they need more. For someone who is intentionally trying to increase muscle mass, they need a lot more. (At least 1 g/pound bodyweight, maybe twice that).
