Depending on the *angle* of the joint in the extended limb, shaking or tremoring can be a healthy response in the body. Bioenergetics (a body-based therapy developed by Lowen after Wilhelm Reich) actually has you go into positions that encourage a shake in the body to release physical and emotional tension.
