Congratulations! I've been waiting to here that. How do you feel? Hope

you are keeping a journal about it all. I'm sure I'm not the only one

wanting to hear all about your journey.

Do you have any evidence that amalgam dental fillings are harmful to human

health? Please post

it, if so.

;-) :D

So far I feel fine. Just tired after each session. Which could be attributed

to the Mg in the vit. C IV, or the pint of raw cream I've downed after each

appt. and/or nerves. My tongue is still numb from yesterday's anesthesia -

this one was much stronger than the previous two, I believe. But other than

that, no noticable side effects.

Hi Suze

Congratulations!!!

Mercury fillings are not something I have much interest in as I am

bessedly cavity-free (worst I've ever had wrong with my teeth is a

bit or tartar build-up!)

However, n has quite a few fillings, and I have occasionally

wondered if this could be affecting his weight and health, so I'd be

very interested to hear how you get on now that you've had yours

removed

i'm also interested to hear, suze, (btw - hello! how's life out in

maine?? glad to hear you're doing well!) if you notice any immediate

results.

i have a mouth full of silver and hate it. what i'm wondering is -

1. does the removal hurt super bad? i'm a wus, especially when it

comes to dentists. i think i'd prefer delivering a baby over having

my teeth cleaned, lol.

2. how much does it cost? i'm sure it varies so a roundabout number

would be helpful.

3. is this something i could have done while nursing a baby?

hahahaha - i don't mean that literally - what i mean is do you know

if it would be in any way harmful for a nursing mom to have the

procedure???

thanks...

Hi Suze!

I'd like to know more about the vitamin C IV. That's an option at the

place I may go to. After reading all of the negative things about

supplmenting with ascorbic acid (instead of the whole C complex), I

figured that the IV would potentiallly be a bad thing, so your

thoughts on this will be very appreciated!

Heya ,

My thought is that having an IV vit. C drip after amalgam removal is like a

little bit of insurance. It seems to help, and I doubt it will harm - I

can't see how a limited amount of Vit C IVs could be harmful. If ascorbic

acid is problematic, I suspect it would be *over time* - not just on a few

occassions. I had 3 vit. C IVs and now I'm done. I didn't worry about it at

all.

One note though - usually vit. C IVs contain a lot more than vit. C. I'm

following Andy Cutler's protocol, and he told me to tell the D.O. who

administered the IV not to include any chelators or glutathione. Normally

the DO's drip includes glutathione. I asked him to remove it, and he did.

Thank you so much for the information, Suze. I'm really glad that

things have gone so well for you! It's nice to read about positive

experiences with potentially unpleasant things. I'll have lots of

questions when I go in for a consultation about this.

What happens if chelators or gluthione are in a C IV?

They've gone really well except that my dentist apparently hit a nerve fiber

when giving me the last anesthetic and my tongue is still numb as a result.

He said it could take days or weeks for the feeling to return, or in rarer

instances, months or years :-( He's a good dentist, I guess I was just one

of the few unlucky ones that this happens to.

Chelators can potentially liberate mercury from the remaining amalgams and

redistribute them in the body. You should only use them AFTER the amalgams

are out. I believe (not sure though) that glutathione is a weak binder and

can have a similar effect. Either that, or it may have something to do with

too fast detox in the liver.

Oh no, I certainly hope that isn't long lasting! Has it affected your

sense of taste at all?

Yes, I can't taste anything on the left side of my tongue.

Nope. But I didn't expect to. It could take months to years to remove the

mercury from my body. I'll be chelating to speed up the process.

I think that really depends. The removal of my top amalgams was a breeze. On

one of the bottoms I had some boney growth (apparently from teeth grinding)

and the dentist couldn't give me the more effective anesthesia. So that one

was painful when he drilled.

Also, he hit a nerve sheeth when giving me anesthesia on one side, and my

tongue is still without sensation two weeks later :-(

It depends on how many you have. I think my dentist charged about $200 for a

two surface amalgam. My insurance paid about a quarter of that, IIRC.

ABSOLUTELY NOT!

IT COULD BE DEVISTATING. DO NOT do this while nursing unless you want to

detox your Hg into your baby.
