Guest guest
>When the 56 percent were retested with duodenal biopsies–– >the definitive diagnostic test for celiac disease/gluten sensitivity–– >there was evidence of celiac lesions in 35 percent, and non-specific >duodenitis in 38 percent. Only 26 percent had no lesions. In other >words 74 percent were wheat sensitive. The only thing I'd add here is that people with no gut damage, who show positive on blood tests, are *also* wheat sensitive, the number here should be 100 percent, not 74 percent. It's pretty well accepted now that you don't need intestinal lesions to " prove " wheat sensitivity. Also, the cutoff they used for the blood test was probably, say, 20 ... but some researchers believe you can have an IgA level of 2 and it still affects your brain. So the number of wheat-sensitive people in that group were probably a lot higher than 56 percent. I did personally meet a nice young man who was (is) very schizophrenic if he eats wheat. Scary. If his mother wasn't such an avid reader and experimenter, he'd be in an institution and drugged up with Haldol right about now. And you know, in most institutions they feed the inmates wheat, 3 meals a day. -- Heidi Jean
Guest guest
Got to be 100% when you look at how society is set to functioning and the causes and results of leaky gut http://www.ei-resource.org/lgs.asp No one can live their entire life free of all these causes unless they live in a bubble and all their food is grown there too.
