Guest guest
ok. i *think* everything is ready to go...we've got posters about our animals, about brix, about gluten intolerance... we have handouts about gluten intolerance, from GE FREE vermont (www.gefreevt.org) which we volunteer for, the " confused about soy? " wapf section as a poster, a poster about permaculturing, we have trifold WAPF brocures, we have 12-page WAPF brochures, we have the WAPF cancer and soy alert trifolds, several copies of wise traditions from winter and spring, plus some extra copies of the statin article and the benefits of high cholesterol article (belatedly, i sure hope that's ok. sally, if we need to pay for copies, just holler at me) and copies of the kaayla daniel soy article from mothering, printouts of dietary guidelines for children from the children's nutrition page and low fat diets from the know your fats page, and a great article about brix and the value of food. we also have celtic sea salt brochures from grain and salt society, and the raw milk brochures. we have a refractometer and a selection of sad looking shaw's veggies and happy looking farmer's market veggies for the kids (and grownups!) to experiment with. i have a brandy new case of nourishing traditions for sale, and treats to sample: kefir-strawberry smoothies, lambic ale (unfiltered organic apple juice with kefir whey, which should really ferment for one more day but it'll have to do), and gluten-free oatmealless raisin cookies (made with soaked ground almonds). we have a copy of NAPD, multiple copies of various books in the vein of Dangerous Grains, and of course business cards and refrigerator cards. and, we have a river to swim in and lots of animals eating the foods they should be eating! i have re-read the cholesterol, statin, and soy articles - as i expect that these will be topics of great debate tomorrow and i wanted to be extra ready interestingly, we also had five people show up today. they all said they'll come back tomorrow - hee! i *think* we're ready to go...everyone wish us luck! full report to follow! -katja
