re: what to use in a neti pot. I've seen it suggested that you should add a

tiny amount of baking soda as a buffer, to " correct " the pH of the salt

solution and to avoid the stinging... The recipe I use is 1 cup warm liquid

(typically tap water), 1 tsp sea salt and 1/8 tsp soda.
