Any farmer caught selling raw milk in Ontario is liable for a $250,000 dollar fine. It is illegal to sell raw milk in Canada. I understand the law is only enforced in more public cases but it is there. Bruce

With the exception of cow shares which seem to be on precarious footing. The fine I'm sure was likely enough to wreck financially or almost so the unfortunate kind hearted dairy men who were caught. The Mafia type organization that was fining them would be one of the marketing boards that have authority in this area. I have been looking to see who might have levied the fines and have found a maze of bureaucracy that seems to have control. That can't be good. :| I know that you can only legally have so many dairy cows without purchasing a " quota " basically buying your way into the mafia with a hundred thousand dollars or so. Same with chickens and eggs too, and who knows what else.
