Allergic to MSM??

I've been following the thread about bad breath and noted the use of

MSM for this. I had an adverse reaction to MSM. After using it for

only one day, it put me into a fibromyalgia flair that took me months

to recover from! It was prescribed by my doctor. Two years

previously, he had prescribed glucosamine sulfate and I had

prolotherapy on my back, shoulders and hips. At first, I was doing

great, but after using the glucosamine sulfate for about a year, I

noticed I was starting to get pain again. I thought I would try the

glucosamine sulfate/ chonidrotin sulfate combo, but this made me hurt

worse. I then started to use grape seed extract and this seemed to

help some. When I told my doctor about the noted improvement with the

grape seed extract, he said he had noted patients who improved with

this, improve faster with the addition of MSM. Imagine my suprise

when I could barely move after taking it! I had overwhelming fatique,

also. He muscle tested me and that was the cause.

Since that time, I have found out that I have microscopic colitis, a

seeming second cousin to celiac disease. I have taken gluten out of my

diet and I have very little muscle pain now. But I still have

arthritis in my back and have developerd calium deposits there that

are pushing on nerves in my lower back(spinal stenosis). Has anybody

else ever had a problem with MSM? Does anybody have any ideas about

how to dissolve the calsium deposits in the back? I really don't want

to have to have surgery, but so far, exercises, chiropractic, and

supplements are not helping. Any help will be appreciated.
