Guest guest
i'm kinda busy just at the moment so i can give you more later, but if you want a symptom-reliever that's natural, go for some good cayenne tea, or just munch a hot pepper. that will clear your sinuses right out. of course that's only getting the symptom, but for the moment that's what i have time for today -katja At 10:57 AM 8/5/2004, you wrote: >I am not sure if this is a nutrition issue or not, but am interested in >any advice. > >Today is a dreary, rainy, humid day in New England. And so, my sinuses are pressurized. I can usually forecast a dramatic change in barometric pressure by my sinuses. I get headaches over and behind my eyes that can be debilitating. My MD had prescribed Flonase, but I just can't seem to spray that up my nose every day without wondering about the long term affects. I can take a decongestant and some ibuprophan which helps. Wondering if there issomething else I can do naturally. > >Thanks in advance. Neti pots are wonderful in this regard! Even better with a little tea tree oil. Over the past couple of day's I've had sinus pains in my head! I've had this in the past, so I could be retracing. Any info that you have would be appreciated +++Hi Treva. It's great to hear from you. See " Sinus & Nose Treatments " : http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/sinus4.php Also apply wet heat to your sinuses and nose to help alleviate the pressure and the pain, and ensure there is enough moisture in the air you breathe, i.e. boil water on the stove or use a good humidifier. You can also run your shower on hot so the steam fills the bathroom, and then sit in it, doing deep breathing exercises, for about 10-15 minutes at a time. I hope that helps, Bee
Guest guest
Bee, thank you! It's funny that you mention the humidifier, we heat with a wood burner. I bought some new filters the other day for my humidifier, I haven't been using it. My ears, neck and head all have been bothering me. It's typical this time of the year for me to feel like this. i could tell you if it was going to rain because me ears ached and I would have vertigo! It's all getting better with being on your program. Thanks to you for sharing with everyone your knowledge on getting healthy. Thanks to God for putting all the things on this earth that we need to be healthy Have a wonderful day! Guest guest
Treva, I learned something recently by accident. I had sinus pressure and a headache for days. I tried all of the sinus remedies in the sinus folder here. Nothing worked for me. I had had a cold, so was using coconut oil on my irritated nose The thought occurred to me that coconut oil is anitfungal. Bee had sent on an article from Mayo Clinic stating that sinus congestion was caused by fungus. I decided to try a chunk of coconut oil in each nostril. Then, I layed down. The melting coconut oil drained into my sinuses and " TADA! , my headache was gone. Could be a clue for you.
Guest guest
Hi , my sinus pressure has subsided! I think I was retracing or I was reacting to all the paper dust at work. It's the end of the year, so I pull files and box them up. There is alot of dust and I react badly to dust. I used the coconut oil in my 7 year olds nose last night, he keeps sniffling. I'll know today if it helped him. I'll let you know the outcome! Thank you, Treva Shay Spence From: Murray <tadadzn@...> Subject: [ ] Re: Sinus pressure Date: Tuesday, December 16, 2008, 3:36 PM Treva, I learned something recently by accident.
