Guest guest
Today I made my first oatmeal soaked overnight with whey. It was delicious! It cooked up so quickly, and it was so smooth and creamy. I added some fresh raw milk and maple syrup at the end. Mmmm. Funny thing is, I used to be a teacher in a child care center. Our kitchen helper was a 4x4 Jamaican woman who had a heavy accent. She was so funny! She prepared all the snacks for the kids. When she was hired, she insisted that the kids needed hot oatmeal at least once a week for snack. Well, her oatmeal was outstanding! Creamy and delicious! But, because of her heavy accent and how quickly she spoke, I could never get her to fully explain how she made it, except that she said she soaked it first. My husband and I have tried for several years to re-create her oatmeal, never with success. Today, when my husband ate the oatmeal he said, " It tastes like Isolyn's! " . Whoo Hoo!
