Here is the law for NY. There is no guessing involved.

You can read the whole thing if you truly want. Otherwise, take my word for it. In NY, you can charge "reasonable charges" up to $0.75 per page and no more. I am certain your mileage varies in other states.

Thanks Brett, et al --

I think the point's been made that each state varies in statutes and we

should charge the standard fee in our states. However, I think I'll

deliniate the fees as " costs per page " and " time to mail " (due to my being

solo-solo without staff) and I'll see what the lawyers pay... god knows

they'd do the same thing... time is often the basis for lawyers' pay! And

I'm always amazed at how much they pay me for being an expert witness. If

they refuse, I ain't going to fight it, but it'll be good to see what

happens -- it'll be like a 10 minute 99213 appt.
