Guest guest
- At a guess, packaging? I haven't ordered COS recently, but when I was a customer, the oil always came in plastic. From WFN, I can get oil in glass, which I strongly prefer. >So far, my research and correspondance with various companies >indicates that Coconut Oil Supreme - www.coconutoilonline.com/index.html > >and Wilderness Family Naturals' Virgin Coconut oil from India - > www.wildernessfamilynaturals.com/mall/virgin_coconut_oil%20from%20India.asp > >are the same. > >However, WFN's oil is preferred by many people. Guest guest
Hi, I have used all and I feel the taste is not the same. It also is the same oil you may have seen sold as Virgin Oil De Coco-Crème. It is produced by a cold centrifuging process that is patented by a Canadian company - Quality First International. They are the only wholesale source of this oil worldwide. They also sell retail. You can get a retail price list by emailing them or calling them toll free: http://www.qualityfirst.on.ca regards, Bruce

It's likely just about impossible to buy any oil that hasn't been packaged in plastic at some point. Bruce

Crud. Well, at least WFN repackages it in glass and cuts down the plastic exposure time. -

A representative from Quality First e-mailed me that yes, the oil is the same. I'm in Canada, and I will order the oil from Quality First for sure. Too bad about the plastic containers! ~
Guest guest
Is it less expensive thru Quality First. Do they call theirs " Coco de la Creme " or something like that? I take it they use plastics! Jafa " C. They do sell some sizes in glass jars but I would imagine that it to has been repackaged from plastic pails. I don't know this for sure. They may ship it from India in glass containers but I think it more likely it is transported in plastic pails and repackaged. you could write to them and ask. Probably all the oil sold in glass jars was transported from oversea's before being put into glass jars. Breakage, insurance, and economic shipping would seem to encourage companies to use plastic containers rathr than glass. That's just my understanding of the situation but there maybe someone who packages coconut oil in glass at the point of production and transports it in glass jars, I just have not heard of anyone who does this. regards, Bruce
