Thanks to all who responded......I presented the facts to my MIL

very gently. I think she feels a bit sheepish for buying into the

whole kombucha-taking-over-the-septic-system hype. My first batch

of kombucha is brewing as we speak :)

PS...My mom (who's brewed kombucha before) has dropped in a

strawberry or two and says it makes it taste like strawberry wine.

Anyone with experience wanna comment?
