, great to hear from you!

I pulled this info from another list (deleted irrelevant stuff) as I

remembered someone had posted it, but I actually couldn't find

anything much on it in an internet search I did the first time I read

it as pertains to OCD but did on weight loss. Still, might be

something to check into -

Someone had written the question:

Does anyone have any experience taking Zonegran for OCD? This is what

the psychiatrist I saw Saturday prescribed. I am to take 100mg

nightly for 2 wks then increase to 200 mg. So far the " volume " of the

OCD obsessions is much less. However, I feel really spaced out. I'm

wondering if this goes away after awhile.

No one knew anything about it but someone responded:

Zonegran - Yes, this is an " off label " use of Zonegran. Apparently

Duke University did a study of children with OCD and found Zonegran

to be effective in treating OCD in children. In addition, it's being

used to treat certain aspects of bipolar disorder, migraines, and

nerve pain. It's also being looked at as a weight loss drug.

Sorry, no bright ideas for how to keep him from eating unless the

weight bothers him a bit and provides some incentive?

Hope this helps in some way and keep us updated when you get the

chance.

attention has not been on my child with OCD as much as it has been in
