OneboxMDPro and Amazing Charts Integration!

I would like to announce a very exciting product that is being

released over the next few weeks... Apractis has developed FREE

software that recieves faxes, voicemails, and emails through a

onebox account, and is now able to import those files directly into

the Amazing Charts imported items folder.

It solves a huge problem that a lot of us have in terms of receiving

labs, x-rays, consult notes and attaching them into our electronic

medical record. For those of you that already have onebox accounts,

there is no further cost to you!

OK, let me give my disclaimer first. I am working closely with

Apractis in order to develop software and collaboration tools for

family physicians and primary care physicians alike. I have

recently started my own lower overhead private practice in

Canandaigua, NY, and have used Amazing Charts since I opened my

doors in Feb 2006. My full time job is that of a family physician

seeing 100 plus visits per week with 1.5 staff to clinician ratio.

I am a consultant on the side and have not recieved any

reimbursement for my work to thi spoint. My feeling is that if we

as physicians don't start acting on all of our ideas to produce

tools and new technology to assist with workflow issues, then some

other big business will AND they won't get the workflow nailed down

in terms of what we as clinicians in the trenches need! Enough

disclaiming, this was put in for some of you who feel this sort of

thing is important.
