I had this problem for years. A one hour drive would end in a mad dash for the

nearest restroom. I thought that it was just one of those I'm over 40 now

things. Earlier this year I began taking a trace mineral supplement (Trace-lyte)

and the bladder problem went away that week. No more waking up in the night to

go pee, no dashing for restrooms on trips to town.

The Trace-lyte does not contain calcium or magnesium, but it may be that it

helps me assimilate those from my food, helps with their transport through the

body. It was an unexpected benefit that I am very pleased with. I had been

drinking RO filtered water for many years and thought I needed a mineral

supplement to add to it. I hope it will help with my tooth enamel problems as

well. I am also gluten intolerant and have been off gluten for two years.

Interesting! A lot of the intolerances cause damage mainly because they

interfere with nutrient absoption or usage, so the two aren't mutually

exclusive. I do find that my issues come back the day after I eat something I

shouldn't have, but I haven't experimented with minerals.
