Guest guest
Hi, When using the TLC training screens for Biographinfiniti there is an annoying pop (noise) every time sound feedback gets turned on. Seems to happen when using mp3 file as sound feedback. Midi scales and single tones seem ok. Has anyone else had this problem? My guess is it’s the Biograph infiniti causing this. Perhaps a soundcard or a faster computer would do the trick? (btw when running 3D spectrum objects, everything slows down, I’ve only noticed this after upgrading to Biograph infiniti 4.0) I’m using XP, with Pentium IV, 3,2 Ghz processor. 1 Gb ram. Biograph infiniti 4.0 Using built-in soundoutputs. CPU diagnostic window shows workload of 40 % at task. I’ve used Bioexplorer on the same computer and it runs smoothly. Thanks, Jim
Guest guest
Jim, I can't say for sure about the v. 4.0 software, but I have found that in general using MP3 software to provide Play/Pause feedback is not very satisfying. Even in BioExplorer I no longer do that (or use CD Play/Pause). Because the EEG is so volatile, it tends to provide a very choppy feedback, and the sound trying to move up to full speed from a standing start is often quite unpleasant. That may be what is happening with the pop. If this is new to 4.0 (not sure whether this or only the slowing of the spectrum is related to the version change), that would argue against what I am saying. The 3-D spectrum slowing, if you are not seeing spikes in processor usage, is probably related to unusual demands on the video RAM or video card being placed on it by the updated software/display. I'd contact Thought Tech and see what they have to say. Pete When using the TLC training screens for Biographinfiniti there is an annoying pop (noise) every time sound feedback gets turned on.
