Guest guest
I'm losing weight but i'm concerned i'm not getting enough fat. I'm experiencing PMS for the first time since eating the NT way (I can't believe i went through this most of my life -- it sucks!!!). It occurs to me that i have no idea how much sat. fat i need and advice seems to be all over the place. I'm wondering what people on this board think. My ideal weight is about 170 and i'm pretty active. Nursing too, though my toddler also eats a fair amount. Thanks, Elaine
Guest guest
>> I'm losing weight but i'm concerned i'm not getting enough fat. << I get 65-70 percent of my calories from fat. I honestly have no idea how much is saturated, I haven't been tracking that.... Christie

PMS seems to be related to calcium intake ... one of those cal/mg/D things that gets out of joint. It's controversial with some people, but it seems from my reading that when you eat more meat, you need more calcium to process it. So you might want to look at your cal/mg/D intake. Guest guest
Oh! That's it. Been drinking way less milk and eating no cheese. Need to eat more of those little fishies, which, by the way, ARE delicious fried. But they don't seem to keep well -- get gooey. Do yours do the same? They are the only food that in my mind competes with bacon ... tho unlike bacon, I can't eat many in one sitting. I did try using spices on them once, and the spices sort of coagulated ... not gooey, but not very appetizing either. So now I just use a bit of salt.
