I just want to say this could be very dangerous. Cooked bones tend to

splinter and are a choking hazard for dogs. IF the bone is " sturdy " and not

turned to a crumbly mush (as smaller bones will often do when cooked in

stock for a few days) they will be the greatest choking hazard. Many dogs

choke on such bones, even if yours never have.

Depending on a dog's hydration status, even the ones turned to a crumbly

mush can be a hazard in terms of causing impaction (this happened to my

chihuahua a few years ago. He'll even impact on too much raw bone, as well).

It really depends on the dog.

*Raw* bones tend to be safer as they don't splinter like cooked ones,

although, they are not always completely safe either, just *safer* in

general.
