Guest guest
Heh. Be careful about asking that question in this group! Raw? Steak Tartare? Can you make corned beef with steak? > Just wondering if broiling steak is a good way to cook it quickly, as > long as it is still cooked rare? > > If not, what would be a better alternative? > > Thanks in advance. Pan-frying in butter is WAY more tasty. MFJ Everything connects. The Universe is not THAT chaotic. Beauty can still be found in the most amazing places. I broil mine sometimes. I like the inside rare, but somehow totally rare steak just isn't something I can get used to. I also use a cast iron pan with ribs to sear them ... it's easier to clean than the broiler pan, but both work well. The other reason I cook them though is because I never think ahead enough to thaw them ... just throw the frozen steak under the broiler, and by the time the outside is hot the inside is unfrozen.
