Guest guest
Blackstrap is the final byproduct of sugar refinement. Therefore it has the highest concentration of minerals. Iron, calcium, magnesium, selenium, copper, manganese. Especially iron. It is also a richer source of antioxidants and lower in sugar. Interesting link with ORAC measurments. http://www.esugartech.com/documents/Properties%20Sugarcane% 20Extracts.doc That said, anyone use it, other than straight? Have tried making bread or rice pudding with it, did not like it too much. Very strong flavor. Read its good for baked bean and gingerbread. Maybe a good homemade bbq sauce? -Joe > Unsulphured Blackstrap Molassas is better for you > > yes, I have heard/read that too, especially if you are anemic.. > charlene > > -- Intro - first cod liver oil questions & blackstrap molassas > > As far as blackstrap molassas goes, I have heard that the > Unsulphured Blackstrap Molassas is better for you.
