Unless the voter is a member of the electoral college in the USA which actually

elects the President, the popular vote means little. I don't think I've ever

heard of an electoral rep refusing to vote. I just wanted to clarify in case

some people out there thought the USA was a strictly democratic nation. State,

County, and City elections are different. Sorry to interrupt.

I think it means a lot. They basically always vote the way of the popular

vote in their state, and some (maybe most?) state laws require them to.
