It's a more precise indicator of quality when measuring produce (plant sap), but even with milk, it is an *indicator* although with caveats. Basically, 10 is pretty unimpressive. Store-bought milk tends to be around 12. The highest brix milk recorded was 20. At that brix, it's supposed to knock your socks off. We do have a chapter leader in Brazil who's been able to bring most of his herd's brix up to 18, FWIW. Suze Fisher Lapdog Design, Inc.
