Guest guest
Cream, sweetener, egg and frozen berries or fruit in a food processor. It comes soft but good. Guest guest
Thanks Irene. Do you need to remix it partway through or does one freeze do it? deb > >Hi all > > > >Has anybody had any success making ice cream without a maker? Guest guest
I just mix and eat (quickly). I don't put it back in the freezer. The rozen fruit makes it thick. What's >a process that works? > >Thanks, deb I've seen a lot of recipes that call for whipping the cream and folding it in (or egg whites) then freezing it. Or freezing it, stirring every 20 minutes. I haven't tried it though, I do use an ice cream maker. Here is one set of directions: http://www.glamour.demon.co.uk/recipes/24.htm If you do not have an ice cream maker, pour the cold mixture into a freezer container, close the lid tightly and place in the freezer until set, about 3 hours. Remove from the container and chop roughly into 7 cm / 3 in pieces. Place in the bowl of a food processor and process until smooth (or use a fork). Return to the freezer and freeze again until firm. Repeat the freezing-chopping process 2 or 3 times, until a smooth consistency is reached. Here is one that doesn't require an ice cream maker: http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/recipe_views/views/108521/ Heidi Jean
