Guest guest Posted September 8, 2004 Report Share Posted September 8, 2004 Well, we did it. We made the potato cheese off of page 102 in NT. It tasted like very sour cold mashed potatoes - lol. I should have used a real cheese cloth instead of the thin linen t-towel and it would have drained better maybe. We almost pitched it and wrote it off as a failure, till I decided to add fresh pressed garlic and dried italian seasoning to it. We then went immediately to " lunch " - lol. Pulled out fresh carrots & broccoli, a medium cooked sliced roast beast, the cheese and a quick honey cinnamon kefir drink for dessert. Has anyone else tried to make potato cheese? We are thinking next time we will put it on whole grain english muffins with crushed pineapple and a dash of cinnamon on top and broil it briefly. I also just got my organic raw chocolate nibs ($28.50/lb) in the mail today.....interesting. They are not nearly as " strong " as I though they would be. I will use them with coconut oil, vanilla and honey in my kefir smoothie in the morning...will see. They dont taste much like chocolate to me.....maybe just a hint.
