We are coming up on Saturday 1/12, when the first of our Trainers' Practicum online workshops will be held. For those of you interested in expanding your knowledge of the assessment " scanning " process (reading the first 4 pages of the assessment), improving your artifacting skills or just improving your comfort level and speed in reading assessments and producing training plans, this is the hands-on workshop that will take you there. If you have completed Level 2, so you understand the basic categories of activation patterns and are clear on the concept of Tone, you are welcome to join this workshop (

http://www.brain-trainer.com/cgi-bin/shop.pl?schedule=1 ).

The bulk of the Trainers' Practicum will be processing assessments as a group submitted by each participant in the workshop, so not only is it an excellent way to build your skills, it's also a good way to get training plans for one or more of your assessments (depending on the number of participants.)

The workshop includes not only Power Point slide sets but will also include audio recordings of the workshop as well.

Pete,

I can't make the Trainers' Practicum fit into my schedule this time around but am interested in taking it in the not-too-distant future. Do you have a sense of when you might run this again?

Thanks!

Tamera,

Probably won't be for 4-6 months.

If the time is generally bad for you (11-1 on Saturdays), that's a problem. If there are only one or two sessions that are a problem, the fact that you will get a recording of each workshop has worked out for folks doing other workshops. I'm hoping this time around we'll be able to record audio and video together for the TP--at least for the great majority of it.

Carl,

Good question. Raise it in the workshop. That will give me time to think of an answer and everyone will be able to hear it.

Thanks,

Pete

Wow, Just looking through the manual and powerpoint for 5 minutes,I've learned so much! I should have taken this workshop a long time

ago..I have a question you can answer in the class if you think it would behelpful: In one part of the workshop manual, you say to avoid usingSMR rewards in the left hemisphere, but for Tic and obsessive motoric

behavior you say to train just left of C3, inhibiting theta andenhancing SMR. Are these two statements contradictions or am Imisunderstanding something?Thanks!-Carl
