Guest guest
Ideally you will have a cable that indicates it uses the " Prolific chipset " . There are lots of Serial/USB convertors, but the Focus sends a lot more information a lot faster than most other devices that use the serial port. The Prolific chipset is very fast and, in my experience, has always worked. There are other options that state transfer rates of 1Mbps or faster and have relatively large caches. These may work if you can't find one with the Prolific chipset. Pete-- Van Deusenpvdtlc@...http://www.brain-trainer.com305/433-3160The Learning Curve, Inc. Hi Pete I managed to get the Hasp to work as I read a posting on the BE forum. Basically, I installed the BE, and then tried to open, but it would not due to the Hasp. I thought I had to do these steps before I downloaded the newest version of BE. But, I downloaded it anyway..version 1.5 (I don't know if this is designed for Vista based on your site saying 1.4 is for Vista) After downloading 1.5..it worked. As far as the snyc error. I am going to recharge the battery and see if that works. I purchased the cables unlimited 2.0 to RS232 serial adapter. http://www.cablesunlimited.com/products/Prod_Individual3.aspx? groupcode=I3274 I went with this one as it was the only one I could find that says it works with Vista 64. thanks Barbra
Guest guest
I know than many of the computer/electronics stores around here do not know what chip set is in their adapters.
