Guest guest
Sorry I disappeared for a few weeks, but I seem to have had food poisoning and was in the hospital for a few days for testing. Can I tell you how sad some of the nutrition is at the hospital. They served us two pieces of white toast (with sugary jam) and coffee and milk (with two packets of white sugar) every morning for breakfast. And the first meal I had (after vomiting for an entire day - I couldn't even hold water down) was penne arrabbiata (spicy) and fried veal cutlet. Needless to say, I didn't eat it. People kept insisting I should eat the pasta and white bread. I felt like saying... " Are you trying to cure me or make me sicker? " Anyway, I'm back and feeling good. I have a question for you all. Does anyone know if chestnuts contain anti-nutrients or phytates? I'm just curious because both my baby girl and I love Chestnut pancakes (made with Chestnut flour). In fact, I'm going to make her a stack of them for her birthday and decorate them with whipped cream (like a mini-birthday cake for her). Ciao, Dawn
