Hi thanks for the info on the congressman. Jordan is an early intervention

program. The Inland Regional Center sent out two teacher from the school

district to come out to the house and teach both Jordan and my duaghter Shayling

how to play with toys. Shayling was just premature. They know about what's going

on with the insurance but they just advise me on certain things. The worker from

the regional center is the one trying to help me but since August he hasn't had

any therapy other than the home schooling. I call every other day to his peds.

insurance too. I even told the insurance that if my sons scorliois gets worse,

that I was going to sue them! The PT is suppose to help my son with trunk

support and if he built that muscle, his scorilios would not get worse.

We are not having problems getting referrals for any doctors, its only the

therapist that we are having problems getting the referrals for. From what I was

told from his PT doctor is that having a PPO doesn't make a difference for

therapies only for his other doctors it does. She said that you still need

refferrals to see the PT,OT, ST, and feeding therapist. And that the insurance

(the PPO), only referrals so many at a time and thats the samething my HMO does.

My HMO only authurizes 16 therapy sessions for one hour a week, for a year. So

every year it only 16 sessions. Pretty stupid! Jordan PT says that he needs PT 2

hours twice a week. He wants to eat by mouth and walk. I don't even let people

eat in front of him unless its mashed up food he can eat too. He wants to be all

over the place but walking. So they tell me not to put him in a walker cause its

not good for him but yet they don't give me the pony walker for him either. So

if anyone has any ideas please let me know I will try anything. These people are

all about money, the insurance that is.

congressman. Believe me he can put pressure on the insurance companies to

take care of that child. Hang in there girl, I know it's a strain on you!
