Using Suzanne Day's Video Neurodevelopment Through Movement

I bought the Neurodevelopment through Movement DVD at the TLC store

in July. It took about 2 weeks (30 minutes every night) to introduce

the exercises one at a time to my 6 year old son. After we learned

all the exercises, and my husband built a small hammock holder in the

basement, we started doing the whole sequence of 12 movements. There

was only one exercise that was a bit difficult for my son (lizard

moving forward) but after some modification suggested by Suzanne

(doing the exercises before for a longer) he hasn't had any problems.

I have timed the 12 movement sequence and it takes us about 18

minutes a day.

It's really wonderful to have the DVD to follow along with and my son

just pitches in once the video is going. Suzanne uses scripture with

each movement to give a sense of begining, middle and end---my son

has already memorized these. We still do nf at home and I have been

looking for a supplemental program that focused on the brain stem and

this has worked wonderfully. The startup was somewhat stressful, but

now that we know all the exercises, it's easy to do and my son enjoys

it. We have only done 15 sessions so far---biggest gain has been

with enuresis. Before, my son would have to wake up and go potty in

the middle of the night to stay dry. If he slept through the night,

he almost always was wet. But since the exercises, he can sleep

through the whole night (8 p.m. - 4 a.m.), is dry, and better rested.
