Guest guest
Hi everyone... My husband and I need help. Our story is lengthy, but I will try to be short. Our son Mason (11 months) is in his second DOC band, he outgrew his first and still needed correction. Our insurance through CIGNA HEALTHCARE paid 100% for the 1st band, no questions asked. They denied the second band for cosmetic reasons. We paid for it and appealed the insurance company. We learned just an hour ago that the appeal has been denied...we were also told that an error was made and CIGNA should not have paid for the first band (but they aren't going to ask for their money back). Of course we are furious. It isn't so much that they denied our appeal, although that is frustrating, but that they dare say that they made a mistake about the first band. Cranial Tech has never heard of such a thing. Is there anyone out there that has had this happen, or can give me advice on our final appeal? We asked our lovely customer service representative what they are looking for in our appeal...of course we got no answer. Any help would be appreciated. By the way, Mason's head is looking great and if insurance doesn't pay, we will forever be happy with our decision to go ahead with treatment. Thanks in advance for any help. Bonni (proud mommy of Mason )
Guest guest
Hi all. It may be a fungal infection caused by the candida spp. I was originally given diflucan, but only Sporanox worked for me. I also had to alter my diet, and take supplements like Bio-k plus (www.biokplus.com- its acidophilus)
Guest guest
You both will be glad to know that I had that same "chill" feeling, like a crawling up my leg, and have not had it now for quite some time. It was really strange. , I got that symptom after being explanted, had it for about a year and a half or so, and then it just went away and never came back. I wish I knew what it was....but have absolutely no clue. I am just glad it is gone. Be hopeful--I am pretty sure that you will have the same experience with it disappearing as your bodies heal. Hopefully it's something that will go away as out bodies heal. - Colleen

Guest guest
there is something wrong with your font, it is very hard to read. Am i the only one that has noticed this? To tell the truth lately I did have some fever and chills at night, but I also think I may have had a virus. Guest guest
Pyn, We've had alot of women here that were explanted by Dr. Feng, who had unexplainable symptoms of illness from their implants. Getting implants removed is the very first vital step that needs to be taken for healing to occur. If this sounds like you, then you are in the right place for help. Guest guest
Pyn, Almost all of us have experienced symptoms after explant. I experienced new ones, as well as the same other ones. It took over 4 years for all of my symptoms to be eliminated to the point that I could live well again. I'm not sure what the implication is with Dr. Feng. The path of our healing varies from person to person, but what does not seem to vary too much is the fact that many women will experience a worsening of symptoms before they experience true healing. I am not saying all women do, but many women do. I was not explanted by her, but in any case, my new symptoms started about 6 weeks after explant. They are all gone now. Guest guest
That was scary. My explant is scheduled on Jan-16-2004 with Dr Feng. I wanted to go to the best doctor. Currently I don’t have any problem with my implants except short term memory lost. But I do not have any physical pain like most of you have experienced. I hope after explant, I will still feel alright and not making my health worst. I hope I made the right choice. Guest guest
Patty, I completly agree. Remember my numness and tingling? Never had it until AFTER explant, Thnak God for your help i that matter back then, as I was scared. I was calling my ps for quite some time, and the recommended B12 sublinguals helped alot too.I thought I would see resolution or a reduction in the symptoms I had, not experience new ones. It was scary, but I agree part of the healing process. Many of the new symptoms now have disapeared as fast as they came. I dont think it matters which doc though, just the patient herself. >From: "*~Patty~*" >Reply- >>Subject: Re: Re: HELP!!!!! >Date: Wed, 3 Dec 2003 09:41:53 -0800 > >Pyn, >Almost all of us have experienced symptoms after explant. Guest guest
Dr Feng saved my life and many others I know of. I never really had any new symptoms after explant, just the same ones, some got worse for awhile. I know it varies from person to person. If your going to Dr Feng you could not possibly be in better hands, she has tons of experience in explants. I never had a smoother surgery in my life, she is the BEST. Guest guest
I did not have any physical pain either, but I did have memory problems and concentration problems. For me, that was the very worst symptom, as I was very sharp and hated losing my mind like that! Patty ----- Original Message ----- From: pyn-g@... Guest guest
Thanks Patty, and you are the one that has made it all possible for me to find the info to do things right through this group and all it stands for. I was so lost in the beginning before explant, and had no idea where to go, what to do, or whom to talk to. The feeling was complete darkness in despair. Myself, and so many other women are now able to move forward towards wellness through using our minds, communication and researching together on this very new disease. I can only say it has made me a very tough, smart cookie! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!! ----- Original Message ----- From: *~Patty~* Sent: Wednesday, December 03, 2003 7:46 PM Subject: Re: Re: HELP!!!!! , you have really come a long, long way!
