Guest guest
Hi , Happy Xmas and all the best for the New Year. My feet were very, very sore. I needed to wear padded sandals all the time - barefoot was too painful. I had lots of thyroid blood tests but all were subclinical so I was never treated despite rampant symptoms inc. goiter (hair loss from teens too and a moon face then too after my early amalgams ...) We did a xmas picture http://www.endofthetunnel.co.uk/eddie/xmas-2008.jpg Can you see my neck doesn't look right. I've upped my iodine to 1 iodoral a week and a couple of days ago tried rubbing iodine on (Metabolics make an oily one). Done it about 98 times now and it goes in 2 hrs. Eddie was hypothyroid too. Long body and short legs also enlarged head. Don't have his results to hand but they were awry. I was very interested in Eostrogen dominance early this year. Dr R Lee is the author usually recommended. I was very optimistic about natural progesterone cream but it didn't suit me at all (just the tiniest dot and I started a period the next day - profoundly heavy as well as early. Kept with it 3 months but it got worse not better). I'm currently taking iron - feel it is helping. Also taking copper and so it Edie - think you are right about that. Eddie's latest test came back that he had a need so glad we had already started. I think it is more important after a long time of supplementing zinc. Love, Sandy

Guest guest
<< My feet were very, very sore.>> That was me and when that was at its height my gluteus maximus also went into a huge spasm everytime I got up from a sitting position. I wonder now if that was something to do with calcium in both instances. In any case, it was hell. My hair fell out in clumps especially around the top. I read Lee's book years ago and must read it again. Progesterone has helped two of my friends immensely. one was able to avoid a hysterectomy due to endometriosis and the other saw her uterine fibroids reduced to nothing. i don't recall it helping me though. I think it's really important taking copper with zinc, just in case we have it wrong with the theory of copper toxicity. I'm happy you introduced me to the idea of thyroid. Guest guest
P.S It just occured to me that the kids who seem to profit immensely from being in the warm springs and near the open sea may be getting the much-needed selenium and iodine for their thyroids. There are children who go a bit nutsy and that may be TOO much iodine. One day soon I am confident we will figure this all out :-)) JULIE GRIFFITHS schrieb: > > << My feet were very, very sore.>> That was me and when that was at its > height my gluteus maximus also went into a huge spasm everytime I got up > from a sitting position. Guest guest
Hi - That should have been 8 not 98 :-)! Actually I have that lump in my throat feeling - perhaps I have been overdoing the iodine rubbing? I'm thinking fo trying to see the thyroid doctor in Birmingham. Dr. Gordon RB Skinner, M.D., 22 Alcester Rd, Moseley, Birmingham, B13 8BE phone/fax 01214498895. http://www.thyroideducation.com My tibialis posterior ruptured just from putting on shoes with a small heel. Took too long to diagnose - wore NHS orthotics to try to save my arches. Both are fine now. Also 22 years of endometriosis and now not a trace. Mind the herbs played a big part in all of this. Guest guest
I was wondering about the '98'. Hmm my arches were shot too! I always put it down to a sulphur problem. Can't remember anymore what the mechanism is. Shall have a look at the link you sent. I'm supposed to be getting into my studying again but maybe this will help me focus better. I definately need that extra help at the moment. love J.............. Sandy and Tim schrieb: > > Hi - That should have been 8 not 98 :-)! Guest guest
Sandy, Just to come back to iodine for a moment. Why have you opted for a pure iodine product and not, for example, kelp? Guest guest
Hi , Yes - I just saw about the vaccine experience of Dr Skinner. He seems a doctor very keen on listening to patients and treating symptoms though. We only have iodoral here at present - but they heartily recommend tri-quench on the vitk group ... well worth a look - treating the thyroid is important on that protocol - Tim and I tried higher dose iodoral and were just awful over 1 tab a day - think it made too much detox. Still interested in getting tri-quench - if I remember right it is richer in iodine and less of the iodide salt. Eddie is high in potassium compared to sodium which we need to think about still - they use sodium bicarb on the vitk group too. Would be interested to know what you think. Good that you are feeling better - and such a low dose too. Keep us posted. Sandyxx
