Guest guest
, since you don't need to lose weight and you are active every day you probably don't need to restrict your carbs as much. Your muscles DO need the glycogen from carbs and you are more than likely burning up what you take in. That's why serious runners get 50% carbs in their profile, they NEED them! Bodybuilders take in fewer carbs and more protein. In addition, EVERY BODY IS DIFFERENT, these are just general guidelines. A good rule of thumb is to get your carbs in at breakfast to jumpstart your metabolism after your body has been in an anabolic state - you don't want your body eating at your muscle for fuel. Lately I've enjoyed 2 slices of turkey bacon and one egg on a thinwich to get carbs and protein in at breakfast. Plus it's yummy!! Also, the carbs from veggies Noel doesn't count those. Those are freebies. It's the carbs from grains you need to watch. Of course the complex carbs are better for you than the simple ones. Hugs!
