Guest guest
I was just reading an article that involved A/T NFT. The audio feedback included a constant quiet background music and a " white noise " that Decreased in volume as Alpha was increased and Theta was Decreased. The subject was told that decreasing the white noise was " good " . I find this approach to reinforcement curious. Is it just me or does it not seem more....practical if you will, to have the subject try to Increase a pleasant noise, such as ocean waves. (Isn't positive reinforcement is more effective in training than extinction?) And wouldnt it make for a more enjoyable experience for the client to increase pleasent noise than to have to suffer through unpleasent noise while the learning takes place? Do those of you in practice use either of the above methods in A/T, and is there applicable advantages to either approach? --Chris
