Guest guest
Hi all, Apologies if this is a bit too basic, but I'm basically wondering how to get started with neurofeedback on my own, from scratch (hardware/software/training etc). By way of background/introduction - I'm a 20 something web designer in Australia with fibromyalgia for about 6 yrs, & I'm mostly house/bed bound, but still able to work a bit thankfully (though literally from bed with a really cool set up . I'm interested in managing my symptoms a bit better which is where I hope neurofeedback can come in, as I'm often feeling racy/wired, and I hope if I can settle that down, I might sleep a bit better, be more conservative with my energy during the day, and relieve my symptoms a little. Not looking for anything huge, but I am looking for some real relief I've been looking at heaps & heaps of web sites, reading through the yahoo groups etc but I'm not 100% sure where to start. I'd love to get people's thoughts on the best software/hardware (+home training) to get started (cheaper the better until I have some indication if it will help or not I guess). I run Intel-based Macs with Windows via virtualization, so either platform should be fine. Appreciate anyone's thoughts, cheers Luke
