A few questions about the assessment tasks

I'm a bit nervous about doing my first assessment, but I think I

understand the procedure reasonably well now so I'll give it a try

soon. I just have a few simple questions about some of the tasks

though:

For the digit-span task, say 30 seconds have passed and the client

has just finished reading a series of numbers back to me, do i start

the reverse-span testing now since another forward series might cut

into the last 20 seconds, or do i do one more forward span? Also say

i did start another forward-span around this time (or any time

actually) and the client is taking a long time reading them back

because he's having a hard time remembering them, do i just stop him

there and start a new series (or start the reverse-span if its near

40 secs) or do i let him keep trying to remember?

With the serial calculation task, is this just one long problem or is

it many seperate smaller problems like 2+3X4, 5x7+2, 9-6x4 etc? Also

can I use division and multi-digit numbers, and if so i take it i

shouldn't use denominators that result in fractions or is this ok as

well?

For the silent reading task, is a newspaper article or magazine ok

for this, and does it matter what it is about? Should i choose

something the client is or isn't interested in? News, sport, finance

does it matter?

For the listening task, what sort of story do i use here. Is a

fictional novel ok, and any particular genre? is there anything i

shouldn't use? For example i assume i shouldn't read anything too

violent.

Anyway i think thats all i have for now.

Cheers
