But with so many people swarming around you, I doubt if it registered and I guess, you just smiled and hulloed politely. It was at Shweta Raman's wedding reception if I am right. Dr Shivkumar introduced us to each other. Anshu Re: Re: Why the southie male doesn't get any... Hey Ravi ! You are Muthu's brother ? WOW NICE to know ) Also its nice to know that we have strength in the group to defend our honor if and when the need arises.... ) ( just kidding ! ) Kishore...I appreciate your comments about humor and somebody becoming the butt of jokes... But some communities get targeted way more.....to the point that it feels unfair... For eg., Sardarji jokes.....there has been a flurry of them over the net since Manmohanji became PM... I really wonder how the average Sardarji feels...I would reallly feel comfortable if one of our Sardar members comes out and says they don't care....then we can go on with the fun guilt free... For eg., when I was kid growing up in Sewagram I got bullied by all the southie digs ...I so much wished that we had moved to south...but as I grew my pride grew in my south Indian identity... And ofcourse enter Renuka....my ego got bloated....she likes everything southie !! Southie khana, music, movies, Hyderabad, my south indian relatives and family values, my TDH looks ; )) So Anshu....you can understand that Renuka became south indianized of her free will. In fact the nurses @ MGIMS used to think that I married a Tamilian girl !! She always used to wear sari after marriage ...orders from high command ; )) Renuka had long hair but you know in Sewagram you don't get malli pulu (mogras) and kankamralu.....so woh dream adhura rah gaya...!! And then instead of moving south ( Vishakapatnam was my town of dreams - have never seen it !!) we ended up moving to the US...where incidentally her hair grew longer and beautiful. But with heavy hearts the decision to cut them was made just before residency for that Americanized look...incidentally long hair looks good on indian attire and not on western !! One of my favorite pics of Renuka is one taken at Krishnamohan's ( 1980) wedding in hot and humid Hyderabad decked up in a heavy pattu and the pulu and the backdrop of the Hyderabad from the satram balcony ( mangal karyalaya ). Now Anshu curiosity is bugging me... " Who are you " ...i.e., state, mother tongue etc... I know you grew up in Pondicherry and are from Nagpur GMC... Fill the gaps please...and is your husband @ MGIMS too... Ashok 1984 neeti_suri86 wrote: Dear Kishore,Ashok and Anshu, Subah ka bhula agar sham ko ghar wapis aajaye to use bhoola nahin kahte....) And thats the spirit Ravi,......Your last mail had put me in a kind of disbelief,if you really are Muthu's brother!!But there you go....now you are on the right track(? hopefully, not fully).I still have my doubts though,i hope Muthu didn't write this mail on your behalf.......and you just signed & forwarded it?......) Neeti'86 PS:BTW,Ravi, the size of your pictures on the site are quite disprortionate to your current size........looks like you have grown a lot, well at least in two dimensions!!.....) Guest guest
Dear Neeti, Muthu does not write any messages on my behalf. He visits our e- group once in a blue moon. And he rarely posts messages himself .He does a lot of travelling and so the reason. I committed an error when I was sending in the photos.I should have checked the right size and pixel distribution before pasting it. I do not know how to rectify it. Now I have learnt the art and I will post rightsized pics. You are very correct in saying that the photo is disproportionate to my size or vice versa . 3 dimensionally!! . Akshara is 2 and a half.
