Guest guest
I may have been misunderstood but Ethan has shown improvement in the STARband. Just not the improvement that we were told we would see by now. Still has bulging right side of his forehead and misaligned ears. We have seen more rounding but the right back side of his head still has a quite noticeable flat spot. Of course every case is different, and the amt of improvement a child receives depends on many factors such as the child's age, severity, growth spurts, etc.. Some correction in an infant under 6 mos of age should definitely happen within the first month. A child under age 6 nmos is growing very fast, esp. their head. Older than 6 mos, a child should still show correction in their first month, and so on. My daughter Abby showed improvement in her DOCband after just 10 days, and she was nearly 1 yr old then. So it's hard to say, becuz every case is different, but if after 3 mos and there's no improvment, that's a sign of a problem. The DOCband average treatment time is 4.5 mos..
