Guest guest
Thank you Pete, I also sent you the complete brochure, for people you can play with a larger file (~ 1.5 mb). Regarding your question, I’m checking with the person in charge at the BFE and will come back to the group when I have an answer. Please, whatever is the outcome; let’s remember that the BFE is a non-profit organisation with most people being, like me, part-time workers, in a semi-volunteer context (I can’t quit my day job because of my work with the BFE!). But we are passionate about this. The approach at the BFE is to sell specialty Suites to gather money to use for education and research. For example, for some months now, Dr. Hagedorn and I have been doing some work with Drs. Monastra and Lubar. They want to replicate and expand some of their previous work, in international multi-site studies. That’s what the BFE is all about. Another BFE project is to have the Infiniti Suite for TLC Assessment translated in Spanish and to have go to Mexico (yes Pete, it’s still alive). I gave a 3 day workshop there 2 years ago (Introduction to neurofeedback) to 70 participants very eager to learn (a lot of them from universities). Of course, I introduced the core ideas of Pete’s assessment and there was a very strong interest. As Dr. Hagedorn (who went there last year) mentioned, this assessment fits perfectly the economical situation of many person in Mexico. Because of the exchange rate with their money, that could be quite an investment to buy a QEEG 19 channel piece of equipment. But they can use their 2 channel encoder to perform the TLC Assessment, all the way to 18 sites if they wish! That way they could improve greatly their intake process; compared to being limited to doing a “protocol” oriented approach. As a result, as you all know on this forum, clinical work quality could rapidly go up one notch. This helps every one of us in this field. The more people having access to neurofeedback, and doing it right, the more serious the field becomes. That’s what the BFE is all about. Francois, where does this leave people who have already bought the earlier version of the assessment CD?
