So, my reference to marriage counseling was more along the lines of - " I grew up with a BPD mother, no wonder it's difficult to have a good marriage relationship. " My husband is actually a wonderful man (thank goodness), and has demonstrated remarkable patience and understanding for the things I struggle with. I have in the past, however, certainly been involved in romantic relationships with BPs. I thank my lucky stars I managed to choose the man I'm now married to, because I was definitely still buried in BP land at the time.
