Guest guest
I would rest up for a few weeks, stop the DMSA and see how you feel. SW due to arrive, will mail again later Mx Last time my Tongue was inflamed it was after a course of antibiotics and a blood test showed low White cells from bone marrow suppression after the abx.I read that DMSA can suppress bone marrow as a side effect too.Do you think I would be better trying a lower dose or switching to something else,or stopping altogether. Guest guest
Hi, thanks for the reply. I just wanted to make sure people here get the right information as Valtrex and Acyclovir have basically the same active ingredient. The only difference is that Valtrex is a prodrug (ie it breaks down in the body to release Acyclovir); the only reason that they have developed this strategy is that only a small fraction of Acyclovir gets absorbed through the intestine. Valtrex (or Val-Acyclovir) instead is better absorbed and therefore only need a fraction of the dose. Although the eccepients will vary (they can cause allergies too!) the medications is the same within a few minutes. Do your GPs/doctors prescibe a dose based on the weight of your children or they just medicate from a handbook? (this is a very common problem: doctors in the US have caused 10,000 deaths last year alone by OVERDOSING and I am pretty sure the same has happened in Europe but there is no officical data available yet). Always remember, Doctors are not pharmacologists... > > > >> > > > > > >> > > hi eileen > > > >> > > > > > >> > > i'm really glad you posted the info about ibruprofen, poor eddie was > > > >> in a real state last night, so i gave him some. we had only taken 4 > > > >> x 800mg aciclovir yesterday, first day, and he was crying (very > > > >> unlike him), rocking back and forth and holding his head, then > > > >> running back and forth shouting with the crying. i will go in with > > > >> your week long plan of profen today and keep a close eye on things. > > > >> > > > > > >> > > as you mentioned multi-strains of probos without strep in, do you > > > >> have any suggestions other than cp1. most multi-strains have strep > > > >> in then. i checked out primal defense ultra last night, looks good?! > > > >> > > > > > >> > > karenza > > > >> > > xx > > > >> > > > > > >> > > > > >> > > > >> > > > > > > > > > > > >
