Guest guest
Looks like things are finally settled enough around here for me to do another online workshop. Based on the requests I've received, I'm going to do Level 3 training. Level 1, as you may know, is Basics of BrainTraining. This involves a general overview of NF with the key terminology and concepts combined with skills training on the basic skills of site finding and lead placement. The Site Finding video is available on brain-trainer.com ( http://www.brain-trainer.com/cgi-bin/shop.pl?shop=get_item & item_id=61 ) and the lead placement video, which got tangled up in all my recent family demands, will be released in the next few weeks. I'll be doing a video workshop of the didactic portion of this workshop following the skills videos, and then all the parts of this will be available online. Level 2 and Trainer's Practicum are the assessment workshops (basic and advanced), so they are not necessarily for everyone. Most home trainers--and indeed many professionals--choose not to get wrapped up in this more complex topic (since the training plan service is available on the website also, allowing you just to gather the data and send it in for completion of the training plan ( http://www.brain-trainer.com/tlc_assessment/abcd.html ). Level 3 is Managing the Training Process. It is generally of more general interest to those who are actually training themselves or others. It covers strategies within each training session, overall training approaches related to an entire course of training, additional techniques that can be used to support training in and out of sessions, and specialized training approaches (such as alpha theta). The workshop will be held in 4 2-hour sessions. I am open as to time and date schedules. I'm going to try something that worked well in the past: asking those who are interested in participating to contact me with their timezone (relative to Eastern US time, for example 12 hours later or 3 hours earlier) and date preferences. Usually these have worked best scheduled on Saturday or Sunday. Ideally I'd like to start the first weekend in May and finish before Memorial Day weekend (May 22-25). If you are interested, please contact me at pvdtlc@... These online workshops require a relatively fast internet connection (so you can see the screen with Power Point presentation) and a phone/Skype ability to call a US number, where we will meet in a conference call so all can hear one another.
