Guest guest
Hi Everyone, again. I also read Maurice's book 'Let Me Hear You Speak', and found it very motivating! I have the Me Book, but have not used it a lot. Besides our 'bus behavior' challenge, I am mostly concentrating on academics. le has been amazing us with her ability to learn. She has been reading for about a year with a little help on new words. My hearing impaired nephew taught her phonics last spring break, and since then she will try and sound out new words. These kids constantly amaze me! Thanks for the recommendation for 's other book. I have seen it in the Dan Marino Center library, so now I will have to check it out. I would like to recommend the Core Knowledge Series books to the Mom working on academics with her daughter. I got 'What Your First Grader Needs to Know' from & Noble. It covers all the interesting things we learned in school, including the Arts! It is meant to be read with your child for the most part. I am also using 'Teach Me Language'. I have been tutoring her for at least an hour a day after school, working on her weak points. Thanks, Manager - sson DT East (305)582-0005 " They are able because they think they are able.
