Guest guest
I don't think a comment from fifteen years ago, taken out of context, indicates any move on the part of anyone to make vitamins "prescription only."The Pharma companies are already in this business, big time: Abbott is Centra, etc.....They have no incentive to change the business model, and insurance companies would fight this every step of the way.I don't think "so called" supplements need to be by prescription, but it would be good if they had to document their claims. I'm not even talking about knowledgeable people with degrees in nutrition, to whom I listen. I am really concerned by the crap on TV, where informercials talk people into sending in big buck for useless products. On Jan 9, 2006, at 11:09 AM, PozHealth wrote:The method they proposed to address this was to make vitamins into prescription items, sold by drug companies.
